Second Home in times of covid-19 lockdown
Second Home in times of covid-19 Lockdown
For those who confined for 2 months lockdown at city homes, which are relatively small and had very little or no open spaces to roam freely are going through difficultly; they must be feeling caged in, with very limited activity to do at such spaces, and for some it can be mentally disturbing. But there are many fortunate once, who left for their second homes in villages or in rural areas anticipating long lockdown.
Those who have migrated from nearby rural areas do have their relatively bigger homes and open spaces in their village homes are lucky once, if they were able to leave on time before lockdown started.
There are many among us, who are spending good quality time in their second home amid lockdown, I have seen news of celebrities, wealthy spending their lockdown periods in those weekend homes and uploading photos on social media sites.
Some of my family members (senior) and friends who left for their farmhouses before lockdown started and are living relatively easy and calm life among nature and have seen them enjoying through video calls and group chats etc. as technological enhancement has reached most of rural areas in India, which means they are enjoying good mobile connectivity, web series to watch, news and entertainment on TVs and eating fresh foods. Best part is they are far away from corona hotspots and far less chance of getting corona virus and as all public and private transportation is closed except essentials items, which means less chances of spreading it.
Choosing Second Home / Weekend Home :
If you are looking for second home or weekend home then this is best time to buy your dream home and there are many developers, who will be ready to give good discount at this stage; There are many locations for Buying Second Home like, Alibaug, Karjat, Lonavala, Khandala, Talegaon, Shahpur, Igatpuri, Wada, Manor, Palghar, Murbad etc.
Advice : 1) Don’t buy plot of Non-Agriculture or agriculture land without any legal advice on clear title of properties with all necessary government approvals and do check, if it comes under any type government or other reservations. Always buy RERA Registered Property in case of new property from developers.
2) Don’t buy only small Plots in land plotting schemes as it more likely that it may not get developed in timely manner and value of property may not appreciate in future.
3) Always check credential of Property Developers and do visit as many projects as possible to check track record of developers and timely completion of projects.
4) Always buy your second home property with existing electricity connection, drinking water availability and easy road connectivity.
5) Don’t buy Apartment / Flats in building as second home, you may not be able to enjoy property after some time, as you will feel same as your city home, unless you are going to use it as retirement home after few years with all relevant facility is provided by the developer in that particular project.
6) if you want to enjoy your weekend at second home then buy property near to your city home, in around 100 km radius, so that travelling time get reduced & also check if public transport available from nearby areas so that in case of need.
7) Choose Property Location and Select Property wisely with all possible care and precautions, as you want your property to appreciate in near future and remain useful for life time.
Humble Request, Please Donate
We should be thankful to our central govt for proactive approach in containing corona virus infections and state governments as they both ensured that all the essential food items are available in most part of India. We have also seen lot of generous public donations and food provided by community kitchens for the needy in most part of rural and urbans areas.
